Privacy Policy
Last updated July 3, 2026. Plain-English draft — pending professional legal review; we'll note material changes here.
The short version
Your job records are yours. We collect only what the product needs to work, we don't sell data, and the people you serve (your clients) only ever see what you choose to share with them.
What we collect
- Account data: your email, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider — we never see it), and business details you enter.
- Job records: the jobs, clients, estimates, scope changes, photos, notes, invoices, and approvals you put into Swornbook. This includes contact details of your clients that you enter — you're responsible for having the right to store them.
- Approval records: when a client approves an estimate or scope change via a portal link, we record the typed name, the time, and the job it belongs to.
- Payments: subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers — Stripe sends us only subscription status.
- Usage analytics: anonymous, named product events (like "demo_started") with no cookies and no personal information attached.
What we do with it
- Run the product: show your records to you, and the client-facing portions to whoever holds a job's private portal link.
- Bill your subscription via Stripe.
- Improve the product using aggregate, anonymous usage patterns.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or train public AI models on your job records.
Who else touches the data (subprocessors)
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Stripe — subscription payments.
Client portal links
Each job has a private, unguessable link you can share with your client. Anyone who holds that link can view the client-facing parts of that one job (never your internal notes, never other jobs). Share it like you'd share any private document link.
Your rights
- Export: ask and we'll provide your data in a portable format.
- Deletion: ask and we'll delete your account and records, minus what we must keep for tax/billing law.
- Correction: you can edit your business and client details anytime in the app.
